Friends of CIBERIllinois CIBER partners with the other CIBER schools, the International Trade Center, area study centers, foreign language departments, and other academic units on campus to offer comprehensive programs and services in support of the CIBER mission. International Trade CenterThe International Trade Center (ITC) was established in 1994 to provide export counseling and education and training to area businesses. ITC is one of the state's five designated trade centers and a member of the Small Business Development Center Network operated by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs (DCCA). Tess Morrison is the ITC director. Vernon K. Zimmerman Center for International Education and Research in Accounting (CIERA)The Accountancy Department is recognized as a pioneer in the field of international accounting, having established the Center for International Accounting Education and Research in Accounting (CIERA) in 1962. CIERA publishes The International Journal of Accounting and also sponsors an annual International Conference on Accounting Education and Research. The Illinois CIBER and CIERA co-sponsor faculty research projects in international accounting. Area Study CentersIllinois CIBER collaborates with the University of Illinois' seven area study centers to co-sponsor conferences and workshops related to international business.
Foreign Language DepartmentsIllinois CIBER collaborates with the foreign languages departments of UIUC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to co-sponsor workshops related to international business languages. List of languages taught at UIUC
